Log Book: Howard, Walter |
From; To: approx; Site-to: inferred; Action; Crew Note: Mr.Howard had been flying in the crew of Lt.(jg) Clark, who departed Kaneohe for Barking Sands on 1942-May-20. The notes in pencil also indicate that operations from Barking Sands began on 1942-May-20. I suspect that Mr.Howard didn"t really depart early (1942-May-16), return for one flight out of Kaneohe (1942-May-18), then re-join his regular crew at Barking Sands (1942-May-20); I believe the log yoeman grouped the flights by plane type and inadvertently recorded advance base operations as beginning on the boundary. It"s likely that this flight was out of Kaneohe. I"ll verify with Mr.Howard. |
